The Weevils are back!
Welcome back to our fantastic, stand filling, beer swilling Fans! We saw some sexy new faces back on the team, it looks like we are here to please. A great example of this would be the long line of 9 year old girls holding head shots of Pinna and their silver glitter sharpies poised to pounce on their hero after the game. You heard that right ladies, Pinna is back! And if you think that he has been off in some secluded jungle learning the art of the pass then you would be mistaken.
Because this gentleman is all rockets, except when he was laying on the ice, or losing face-offs or whiffing big time. Which was pretty much the entire game. Welcome back Pinna.
With the sudden loss of one of our most promising centers to the unrestricted free market, we still looked strong after a long, grueling vacation. A vacation so grueling that Mad Cow had to get a:
- Hysterectomy
- Colonoscopy
- 2 Oophorectomies
- Vasectomy
All that just to make weight. And guess what? He didn’t make it.
Where is Sean Godier?
He most googled man in America, was once again a no show.
There was a great and wonderful break away in which Pingel was ran down and humped by the opposing team. But at the last minute he put a move on the goalie so fast that he did not see the puck sliding across the line for a goal! I even think this was a shorthanded goal. Good work Pingel.
Sean Godier, was no where to be seen.
Fisher had a goal as well, this line was killing it with a total of 5 combined points. I am not sure how Huevos scored, but it must have been magnificent or they would not have had that parade he was telling is about after the game. And of course the Skatch to Diddle, we will just call it the Skadiddle. Basically Diddle skadiddled the puck to Skatch who skadaddled and skiddled the puck to Diddle who Skadiddled the puck into the net. Hope there is more where that came from.
So we Sean Godier, googled his name and this came up.
I would also like to mention the back bone of the team, who made it possible to win. No it is not the pointless. So let me commend the defense who held strong, fore checked and back checked, holding strong in front of our new keep. Thanks for a great game and a great start to the new season. I hope writing these blogs gets easier and better, but I have the feeling they only will if someone else writes them. So, I shall see you again 5 days after the next game.
